MERU
NATIONAL PARK
Wild
and beautiful, it covers an area of 870km and situated 348km North
East of Nairobi, Also known as Elsa country, formally home of
Joy and George Adamson “Born free “ The story of Joy
Adamson’s and research amongst lion and cheetah “Elsa”
the lioness was the most well known and her grave is marked here.
These
prides of plains offer wide variety of habitats and landscapes
in Kenya.

of Mount Kenya, riverine habitat and plains top up the wonderful
views of wildlife including; the big five, Reticulated giraffe,
Beisa Oryx and adopted lesser kudu.
Over
300 species of birds have been recorded including Palmnut vultures,
Peter’s finfoot, Pel’s fishing owl, Rollers, Starlings,
Bee eaters, weavers and ever honking hornbills.
