LAKE MANYARA

The park is situated between the 600m high escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara is 130km from Arusha. Manyara is the perfect location for an active safari, with its white hot shores of an ancient soda lake.

This wedge of surprising varied vegetation supports a wealth of wildlife.

Nestling at the base of Great Rift Valley escapement, Manyara is recognized for its incredible beauty. Wildlife is not restricted to bird life only. Many game animals have made their home lure including; elephant, buffalo, hippos, giraffe, impalas and great variety of smaller animals.

Renown for its tree climbing lion. Acacia woodland shelters the lion, lying languidly among the branches in the heat of the day. More than 400 bird species are recorded in Lake Manyara.
